Ok so Christmas is just looming, but 2009 loometh also, and according to research at:
http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/economics/staff/faculty/oswald/finalnywarwickwbseventpapernov2002.pdf.
Most of us in the world are less happy at work and more stressed to boot. In the USA satisfaction with work has dropped by about 18% since the 1970s to only 49% of people responding in the positive. This compares to 62% in Denmark, 30% in Japan and only 23% in Hungary. Apparently some of the top listed factors assosiated with satisfaction at work are being a woman, having a degree (except in UK where we probalbly secretly still believe in comprehensive education) and being in a relatively high paid income bracket.
So, enough stats; if I was your fairy godmother (please refrain) what would be your dream job for the New Year? Here are the kids and adult lists to stmulate your imagination...

In the real world, I have recently applied for some jobs, and the one I would like is Training Officer for a charity. 20 hours per week and flexi-time, that sounds good to me - and so does the salary. 😀
In the unreal world, I would like to have an arty crafty shop, with a workshop/studio attached that I could use for classes.
I have about 10 years left that I could do that type of work, and that would see me into a nice early retirement of listening to radio plays and dog walking.
