@sonhouse saidWhat do you mean, it makes no sense. It makes all kinds of sense.
@Earl-of-Trumps
What do you mean, leaving the gates open too long? That makanosense.
Leaving the gates open means - allowing migrants to come freely over the border.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidNo, that is not the problem.
@shavixmir "
"At a certain point the government will have to order the building of lots of affordable housing. [b]That’s the cause of the problem]/b]."

No, Shav.
The real cause of the housing problem is - leaving the gates open for too long.
You liberals frequently talk about "causality". Well....?
When do you connect the dots?
Even without asylum seekers, there is a housing shortage.
This shortage is created by the privitisation of housing companies, which have 0 incentive to build loads of affordable housing.
When will you conservatives step away from your fear of “others” and address the cause of the problems?
@Earl-of-Trumps
Ok did not know what you meant, thanks for clearing that up.
You can thank Trump for killing the multibillion dollar border bill, he commanded his pet squeaker of the house Johnson to kill bill and like a good pet he rolled over and played dead. Mikey did exactly what he was told and they would not even allow debate on that bill and Trump said on TV he did not want Biden to get any credit for passing that bill so the border situation goes on unabated. You can thank Trump directly for that.

@shavixmir saidI see, but an overload of migrants doesn't figure into the mix...?? you sure...?

Before they let all those migrants in, they should have made sure that they had the facilities to handle them.
so stupid. jeeeeeeeezus

@shavixmir saidthen that is CLEARLY a sign that the border has to be sealed up.
No, the housing problem exists even without migrants.
it doesn't shock me to see you disagree. truly.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidYou really don’t comprehend, do you?
then that is CLEARLY a sign that the border has to be sealed up.

Were you dropped on your head as a baby?
95% of the housing crisis has nothing to do with refugees.
If 95% of your petrol tank is full of sand, blaming the gasoline for not getting you very far is… thick as 💩.
Correct. Move on to win the fridge.
The post that was quoted here has been removedIt’s not the cause of the problem, no
You do know problem analyses?
What’s the problem?
If you try to fix this, you are fighting a symptom.
What’s the cause of the problem?
If you fix this, there are no more symptoms.
Ergo, when running a country (or a business), you analyse problems and fix the causes (sometimes referred to as the root or core).
What the Dutch cabinet is doing, is chasing after a symptom because it looks good to their voter base (i.e. populism). It will not solve any problems. And 75% of their plan is impossible from the start (opts out in EU law are only possible in stages of legislation, for example).
So, not only chasing after symptoms and not fixing the cause of the problem, but basically dangling a false carrot in front of their voter base as well.

@shavixmir saidI can't believe I'm actually still debating this with you.

Shav, if Holland has too many UNHOUSED people for whatever the reason, they MUST stop allowing more migrants in.
And I have no idea why you fight that.
@Earl-of-Trumps said1. Because migrants are not the problem.

2. I have no problem with migrants; for example, I love different foods.
3. The system is the cause of the problem. There are already empty houses not being used.
4. The new cabinet (not quite that far yet) isn’t tackling migrants, they’re going after asylum seekers. And their plans are niot realistic (certainly not in the short term).
5. I would get rid of all borders (for the sake of migration, not necessarily for juristiction).
And yes, I don’t know why you keep debating me on this issue either.
