LOL. I must confess you are correct about some Americans. Not all of us has a sense of humor and not all of us even know where Europe is. Its a sad state of affairs over here with our education system being run by the government.
I do believe we've more in common than not. I am kinda like Roy Rogers in a way as in I have RARELY, in my case anyway, met a man I truly didn't like. With the exception of criminals I do believe I could get along with anyone. When someone makes a blanket statement the original poster made, it's ludicrous. Yes it was posted to provoke. That, however, is why nothing of any substance gets accomplished anymore in todays society. It's not about being right, its about being "in your face".

Was on a bus heading from Dublin to Belfast and this middle aged woman sat beside me (there were plenty of free seats), and I was very quickly aware that she may not be 100%.
She took off her shoes and emitted the longest sigh I have ever heard: she was an obvious zen master of breathing control. That was fine ... stressful day ... good to get the old shoes off. And why sit beside me? Well I was sitting by the emergency door so there was more room, more room to stretch out and relax on the journey ahead. But having thought this to myself I did start concentrating a lot more on the newspaper article I was reading which up to now I had thought innane when ...
"You've got yourself a talker" said this woman with an enthusiasm reserved for a sadist at a dental convention, which was a slight breach of normal 'sitting beside a stranger in a bus ettiquette', but the fact that she was unfurling her tights at the same time compounded the matter. I yawned and mumbled something like, "gee, I am wrecked, something about bus journeys always tires me out".
"I know exactly what you mean ... " she started, but she didn't otherwise she wouldn't have kept talking to me the whole way through the three hour journey, and pointing out to me how knobbly her knees were and inviting me to find out for myself.
Now it's not that I am not friendly, but having someone remove their tights on the seat beside me, talk incessantly about her recent (and somewhat intrusive) medical procedures (mostly related to err women's issues), laughing hyena-like, being a little touchy feely, all whilst looking like one of my aunts kinda provoked some personal space issues for me.
Anyway cut a long story short, we exchanged numbers and got married in the spring.
I still haven't gotten a copy but the name is stuck in my head. Howard Zinn. I am currently in love with a Grisham novel (hey, we all need a break everynow and then) as soon as I get that done I'm off to the library.
I have a wife, 4 children, three grandchildren, 2 jobs and a side buisness. Reading time is hard to come by.

Maybe it will explain to your socialist mentality why blacks are in prison more than whites🙄....I find it extremely acceptable for anyone to end up in jail who commits a crime regardless of their skin color. If you want mollycoddle them because they are non-white, please sponsor them, in fact all the millions in US prison, for a work visa in Ireland...you are a businessman...you could hire a few thousand and pay them a hansome salary...one that you think would allow them to live comfortably......🙄
