I often have parties at my home and invite my students. They're quite a varied bunch of people, male and female, ages ranging from 18 to 62, and with a wide variety of occupations: 5 university or college students, 6 doctors, 2 lawyers, 3 accountants, an area sales manager for a life assurance company, 5 professional footballers, a pharmacist, a cam belt analyst, 6 IT professionals (none of whom understand anyone else's job... go figure), a faith healer, etc. etc.

One of the things they all say to me after the parties is that it's really interesting for them to mix with poeple who they wouldn't usually come into contact with in their personal lives.

Anyway, this week, I've been setting them a homework task:

Imagine you are hosting a party. As well as up to 5 friends, relatives or colleagues, you can invite 12 "Special Guests". I don't care who they are, or where they are from, but they must still be alive.
Also, you have to think of 5 questions you'd like to ask all of your guests.

I've just counted my students replies, and these are the most common guests and questions (not in order):

George W. Bush (President of USA)
Shinzo Abe (Prime Minister of of Japan)
Junichiro Koizumi (ex- Prime Minister of Japan)
Kim Jung Ill (North Korean President)
Nicholas Sarkozy (President of France)
Margaret Thatcher (ex- Prime Minister of UK)
Matsushima Nanako (Actress)
Johnny Depp (Actor)
Brad Pitt (Actor)
Takenaka Naoto (Actor)
Cameron Diaz (Actress)
Jack Nicholson (Actor)
Sting (Musician)
Bono (Musician)
Michael Jackson (Musician)
Madonna (Musician)
Ichiro (Japanese baseball player)
Asashoryu (Sumo wrestler)
David Beckham (Football player)
Tiger Woods (Golfer)
Bill Gates (Microsoft man)
Steven Spielberg (Hollywood director)

Questions:

"Who do you most dislike, and why?"
"What was the best advice you ever took, why, and what were the consequences?"
"What was the biggest mistake you ever made, why, and what were the consequences?"
"Who would you imagine yourself to be a reincarnation of?"
"What was the worst time of you life?"
"What would you choose as your last meal?"

So, who would you invite, and what questions would you like to ask?
