Superb then, and superb now.

Track 7 never loses a touch, as do many.

If you remember them, and grew up in their era, was it Blonde or Auburn as your fav singer? 😉

Thank you - I'm still a fan, more now than when I was younger. Abba was a great success in many places, especially Japan and Australia - not that much in Sweden at the time. I think they are fantastic in their own way. Benny Andersson still makes good music, of another kind now. My favourites are The Winner Takes It All and Voulez-vous.

Come on. Own up. Who was the PLONKER who thumbed down ABBA, the second biggest album sales of all time for a band?

Obviously you got off on Benny, or Bill and Ben the flower pot men! 😛

Agnetha was on my wall, at aged 14. Moth balls ate my poster and made it damp!

I really prefer them less big boned if the "Truth" be known. When I say Truth I don't mean it in a religious sense of course.

I remember there was some sort of hoopla or contraversy relating to the Mamas & Papas, but don't recall the details, was too young. Did they do/say something odd/provokative, or just fallout from the typical 60's era social/societal change in norms?

They were big artists then and as such open to all kinds of "accusations". When you're in the spotlight all manner of "interesting" situations can arise. Prince Harry, Kate, to name a couple of recent ones. Part of the job isn't it?

I would make an exception for royal families and celebrities of that kind - they don't really need the attention and recognition from the media as artists do.

... to pull the thread back on the original topic, when a teenager I really liked the idea of banging the Abba blonde... Too bad it was only an idea/dream, but for teenagers that is enough...
