Edit : Hand of Hectate was aborted . His mother (to her credit) kept the afterbirth and raised it . But he's still pro-abortion , so it must not be that bad .
So what does that make the mother, pro-choice or life?

You're wrong . There are lots of ways to tell if they're good or not . You can shake them , thump them like melons , squeeze them , pinch them , etc . There's also the tried and true sniff test . (Haven't you ever heard of spoiled children ? They were obviously left out of the fridge uncovered too long .)

But think of all the tasty detus byproducts we'd be missing out on like baby hand popsicles, stem cell breakfast cerial, baby jerky (terriaky is the best), seafood stuffed baby bake, fetus fries, etc... the list is endless.

Both - Hectate's mother straddled the fence on this issue . She also straddled every other upright thing in her vicinity which explains the pregnancy , but that's another story .

but is it worth killing an innocent life just because someone thinks there bad or "cant take care of them" i mean if you cant take care of them give them up for adoption and on another note when i was saying you dont know if a baby is good or bad. ...i mean its soul

Definately pro-choice. It is a hard enough choice to make, I can imagine, and not one that is made lightly.

But to not give someone the choice because of primarily religious values strikes me as being very wrong, and not the path an enlightened society should be taking.

Again, your arguement holds no water. Neither Moldy Crow nor myself have souls and we're just fine.

Back in Canada I grew up playing hockey on frozen ponds. Often we were too poor to buy a puck so we'd fish a frozen fetus out of the dumster at the local abortion clinic. A frozen fetus head makes a great puck.

At what point does a fetus transition from being a collection of well intended genetic material to having a 'soul'?

I think people should spend more time focusing on their own lives and stop interfering with the lives of other people. Obviously three kids later I personally don't consider abortion an option but who am I to dictate that opinion to somebody else. Everyones situation is unique and until you walk a mile in somebody elses shoes then you should mind your own business. It's a personal decision in the private lives of individuals. Contol your own destiny and leave others to theirs.

Answer the question: At what point does a fetus transition from being a collection of well intended genetic material to having a 'soul'? In other words, define murder. Is murder failing to fulfill the potential of life? Can fertilizing a human egg in a lab and then flushing it down the sink be considered murder? If not, why is a fertalized egg in the human body any different?

God gives you a soul the 1st day you are conceived. and everyone has a soul. either the soul is rotten or good

murder - kill intentionally and with premeditation.
