i stumbled on an interesting article about abuse on rhp! here it is:

http://www.complaints.com/2008/may/26/_Abuse_by_www.redhotpawn.com_171904.htm

i just recently signed up for an account on rhp. in many ways i like the site but in other ways i find some flaws. like how its immpossible to stop cheaters or at how many people will attack your posts. i find quite a few people on here quite unfriendly.

but what do you guys think? do you agree or disagree with the article?

Welcome, Arrak. Glad you're here. Keep in mind that no chess site is perfect but that RHP continues its long term commitment to improve.

People anywhere (Estonia, UK or the USA) attack others because they are unhappy and immature and doing so makes them feel superior.

LOL!

You should all be ashamed of yourselves, you have hurt some peoples feelings when they posted in the forums.

There are several known engine-users that defected to Gameknot after being caught by RHP game modding. I guess they didn't like being caught, nothing new there.

As for me? I'm very glad I found a forum where stupidity doesn't go unchecked. When I first arrived I was pummeled for some posts where I didn't think before I posted. It was like a slap in the face. But the fact of the matter was...they were right. I could have left with a bruised ego and learned nothing, or I could simply try to do better the next time. Was it that hard what they asked of me? To think before posting? I didn't think so.

Most candid, direct, manly, no nonsense post I've ever read from you. Thanks for the candor. Objectivity + capacity to learn = capacity for life.

Much too long and error prone a line for an internet dinosaur's right index finger to type. How about the courtesy of an executive summary?

Read the first paragraph after learning how to "copy" and "paste".
