Is there a process for "encouraging" people who misuse the games to go elsewhere?
Just won a game via Fool's Mate, and, right after finishing, found a note in my inbox saying
that the player in question loses on purpose.
Don't know what their trip is, but it certainly doesn't add anything to anyone's development
as a player.

Just add them to your ignore list and move on.

looking at his graph, he's not losing games in a row. so I'd guess it's just a sore loser talking. the old "I let you win" excuse.

take it as a mental win.

Ah yes, Megabyte. He has lost 26 games while making only 59 moves total. There have been a few threads about him. Thread 89081.

Strange habit, but mostly harmless. I suspect him and one or two of his friends at RHP sit around, have a few beers, and laugh about this.

Maybe it was just a joke. A natural self-deprecating response to losing by fool's mate. 😕

ah, you're right. I just took at peek at his graph and saw it was level, and mistook that for a 50% score...

It could well be a self deprecating joke. I recently lost a game to Huckelberry Hound and sent him the famous "I let you win" line. But he and I both know I don't let anyone win. If you beat me you earned every rotten move you made. (smile) The next day in a thread I told him that in words to that effect.. No serious player ever lets anyone win, so don't take cracks like that to heart. Whether the guy is a chump or not, you know he didn't let you win.

Yep, so- a sore looser or a joker is the question!

The thread MontyMoose linked to gives the answer.
