Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator 1.
The ultimate physical actor; robotic menace and immense screen presence. A great movie and a role which he never really got hold of in the same way again.

That's because they made him a 'goodie' in the follow up movies.
Morgan Freeman has done some good films. Like his voice.
Gong Li , Raise the red lantern, Shanghai Triad, Red Sorghum (captivating)
Shabana Azmi - Ankur, The chess players (Shatranj Ke Khiladi), versatility and humility
Smita Patel, super realastic performances in many genres, artistry
Jimmy Stewart.
He was an established actor before WW2,then went on to serve as an Army Air Corps pilot in the European theater. He stayed in the Air Force reserves and achieved the rank of Brigadier General. During the Vietnam War he went to Guam and quietly, with NO fanfare, he flew in the instructor pilot position on a B-52 that went on a bombing run and almost didn't make it back because of an inflight emergency.. He insisted that the public never knew about it and didn't let the studios use it for publicity, few know about it today.
He was a helluva guy.
How many people in his position at the time (major Hollywood star and a General in the US military) would stick their neck out like that and demand that news of it never be released?

Charlotte is still mysterious. She has been playing erotic women since the beginning of her career, ambiguous offer-villain characters, and as late as 2000 and 20003 she managed to show nudity in films "Sign And Wonder" and "Swimming Pool".
Gambon was Singing Detective and Maigret.
When he plays supporting roles lately he by the rule steals the show.
