(Actually it's full retard but full tard is how I remembered the scene)

Also as a retired teacher that spent a lot of time in special ed we commonly talked about our various problems "tending tards" in the break room when nobody else was around.
Indeed. I don't think you'll find many modern day teachers discussing 'tending tards', even in the privacy of their staff room.

    Enjoyed Tropic Thunder though.

Dude I just retired a year ago.
    You are very naive.
You should hear how teachers talk about their regular students in the staff break room. Last high school I was at we had a monthly "Safety Committee" meeting at a bar down the street and we'd all tell stories about the miserable little teen age chits we had to put up with. When the liquor was flowing we really opened up, doing imitations of the little monsters and seeing if anyone could guess who we were mimicking.
    Good times.
Teachers are people too ya know.

Am not alien to the teaching environment,..dude. Perhaps i just worked in better schools?

And I was responding 'specifically' to your 'tending tards' comment. The only naivety here is if you think that's an acceptable thing for a teacher to say.

You are very naïve if you think that is how teachers behave in the rest of the world.
No wonder education is so poor in the States.
Safety Committee Meeting in a bar?
And yes we have a laugh in the Staff Room but calling students "retards"
is not funny, disrespectful and completely unprofessional.

Indeed, you probably did work in better schools, not the ghetto "diverse" schools I had to suffer through where students acted like this:

    Yes the system is screwed.
What's sad is if any of these little darlings got a smack across their face the parents would sue and the media would act like the teachers are the evil ones.

If a "smack across the face" is your solution then you are part of the problem.

    Pretty mediocre film.
CZJ was poor as usual and Connery was really too old to get any 'chemistry' going.

What do people think about Francis Ford Coppola's decision to cast his daughter ~ Sofia ~ as Mary Corleone in Godfather III?

But the film itself was good, as far as 'heist flicks' go.

"Watchable" is as enthusiastic as I can be about it.
I thought you had better taste Suzi.
