advertising

is it just my compute, or does evetone else have an advert for
gameknot.com in the top right of their screen??? i would have thought
that this wouldn't have been the best advert cause it's another chess
page, so...

I just went to GameKnot, and what do I see, the 'wanted, pawn stars'
filler ad. I suspect fastclick, the ad hosting company has screwed up
somewhere - as that ad is to be shown on this site only!!

But then again all of the other sites suck compared to RHP!!!

I agree, much better layout here than at gameknot.

the forums are quicker and easier to use (the threads are erm, tidier,
and more pointless...). i quote from the webmaster:

"That was a result of a FIDE banner exchange program I was testing a
few weeks ago. The way it works -- you display banners from other
sites on your site, and they will display your banner in exchange. No
money involved at all. It wasn't very effective, so I decided not to use
it. Not sure why they still show the GameKnot banner, but I'm not
going to complain."
