The post that was quoted here has been removed“Other classics on the list include George Orwell's 1984, Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World.”
I studied Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” at English A level (got an A, I have to add) and it’s a wonderful read. Shelley’s “Frankenstein” was also on my reading list and I’m surprised that isn’t banned also as its full of wonderful ideas; I could write a book about it actually.
