I don't enjoy most country either, but I like classic country, like Hank Williams (sr), Merle Haggard and Cash. Good stuff.
Tom Petty is class, and Steve Earl's "copperhead Road" is great (is that country?)....Bob Segar is ok aswell.

Again, scroll down to the videos and check them out.
Country has changed a lot, well, some of it has. 🙄
The videos wouldn't play. Then it asked me do download some security update and froze my computer. 🙁

Do Tom Petty and Johnny Cash really count as country? And Skynard too for that matter...

Am I a country lover!?

If you're downloading off of something like limewire prepare for a massive computer destruction - it's taken two of mine. 🙁 Including the one I'm on, of course I only start dling with programs like that once I've got a newer computer. 🙂

And now that you're prepared...

Radiohead - Ok Computer (And if you have an open mind, Kid A and Amnesiac) The Bends and Hail To The Thief also rule. Thom Yorke (lead singer) came out with an album called The Eraser earlier this year, which I haven't heard much of, and isn't too popular but may be worth a look.

And....

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium (Newest) or really anything else by them...

And...

The Flaming Lips - I've only heard Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, but it's sick, go get it.

Ahhh, so sorry, they play just fine on mine.

Oh well, guess it was not meant to be.

Like today, I drove 45 minutes in stop and go traffic, with two maniac kids in the car (one who only ate candy for lunch), to get their snowboard helmets. Only to find the stupid place closed early today because of Thanksgiving!!!! AAAAAAA!

Man, I'm going to have to check that out - they've been getting quite a bit of attention lately.

Excellent! Tell that hairy SOB I said hello. 😉 BTW, speaking of music, I downloaded Bonobo, "Days to Come" last weekend. Another highly-enjoyable collection.

What does a jazz fan recommend to a mixing fan like rbmorris?

How about Neil Young - Living with War
Ornette Coleman - Science Fiction
