Funny... I thought the Iraqi News Network was setup and funded by the U.S. Government as a check on the Fox News channel should that unofficial propaganda arm ever get out of line and start reporting real news. 😉

On edit: I think I have whatever the "INN" is mixed up with the "news" channel setup by the Pentagon a few years ago to broadcast in Iraq.

So, which cable network do you think is the most credible?
I like The Dog Whisperer on National Geographic.

GRANNY.

I think, however, that you've answered your own question by saying what I've quoted.
Any job which means you have to pay for what "the State" should be paying for is obviously a job with dubious sides to it. Or not?
Do you have a country?

Well no. It's obviously hypothetical.
I mean the country I'm residing in at the time.

However, for arguments sake one could say: the US, Scotland, Holland, France, Israel or England.

If someone invaded the US you'd be cheering them on and setting up an undergroud railroad for them. You think I'm stupid?

Or Israel for that matter.

Dude. I judge countries, nations and people by their actions. Not my sense of citizenship or my passport.

And to quickly add to that.

No. I most certainly wouldn't want the US invaded by anyone. That would mean a lot of innocent people being raped and murdered. End of story. That's what conquest is.

So excuse me from being appalled by it.

It seems to me you feel violence is acceptable on one's own soil against an invader but not in retaliation against that invader on the invader's soil.

If that's true you're being unrealistic. That does not work militarily. The Maginot Line is a good example of why. Lack of flexibility, and no need for the enemy to reserve forces for defense. You get hammered when the enemy feels like it and ignored when the enemy feels like it and cannot improve the situation.

I believe you can defend yourself, yes.

I also believe that some invasional forces are okay. It depends on who's doing what, what the motives are and what's at stake.

And I'll be the judge of it all.
And more often than not... an invading force doesn't have much of a foot to stand on.

When I watch cable news, which is rarely, its either CTV, CBC, or the BBC (the first two are Canadian). Sometimes I'm simply in the mood to be entertained though, and on those occasions I'll watch Fox. Plus then nobody can accuse me that my news source isn't "fair and balanced" 😉

Mostly I prefer print sources (but online) and there I tend to bounce around a bit as I like to get the international perspective from different nations.

Yes. The soldiers definitely are human, and behave as such. The people controlling them, on the other hand (Halliburton, Chevron, etc.) . . . .

Why don't you run for office then in some Republic? You could actually become someone who's the judge of it all. That is, with the consent of the people.

I hope you don't want to decide for the people against their wishes!

You mean like, oh, I dunno - WWII?

It also helps to have a good endgame before you go into battle like, oh, I dunno - the Marshall Plan?

It appears to me that there are a lot of opinions being thrown about here with little supporting evidence. I like the smell of opinions in the morning - smells like...
