Post more open invites! In general, when there is an open invite, it is
from a newcomer. But there may be other players, with higher ratings,
who are too shy to challenge a player they don't know-- I suspect
these people would love to see an open invite from someone a little
closer to their own rating.
I will now post my own, just to show that I'm not all talk😉

Again, I agree with tenebr8. I've often wanted to play someone
whose games I've followed and found interesting but felt that
challenging them would come across as aggressive or confrontational.
I often post open invites, and have been delighted at the response.
Both my losses have been at the hands of those who've either placed
an open invite (20010628) or accepted one of mine (pradtf). In each
case the open invite led to a series of highly enjoyable and
competitive games. We need more cross-polination among the
players here.
