"Besieged site"? It's a few spam threads that are cleaned up pretty quickly, if you ask me. It's at most a slight irritation.
The problem with blocking access to one idiot like this may mean blocking some legitimate users as well, so it's not just easy-peasy...

I have been the targget of these accounts pretty much constantly for the past week or so (or since wwindmill), and the posting style has changed over the past couple of days. One incarnation was probably as infantile as Lollette, the day before they were all Homophobic in writing style.
I was attacked by no less than 6 accounts in the space of about an hour and a half last night, leading me to believe that this is more than likely a group effort, probably orchestrated from one of the other chess sites where all of our banned ex-members play.
Just my humble opinion.

There are problems with cheats of course on GK (As happens in all forms of competition) The Tour de France is a classic example, does the testing and the penalties stop it? nope! By the way, while I might appear to be extolling the virtues of another chess site, let me reiterate that when my GK subscription comes up for renewal, I will not be staying there, because all things considered, this site is my choice for long term membership.
