If you would have just left out George Thorogood, that would have five credible selections. Why don't you just toss him for good measure, then we don't have to comment on his playing.

Sneaky Pete Kleinow
A super pedal steelist. πŸ˜‰

Ken Greer for his Lunatic Fringe solo should get a mention.

thanks for the last name, you're right, its pedal steel, but that should count. Or start a different list of pedal steel players:
Alvino Ray "The King Family" & Big Bands
Santo & Johnny (don't know which one played the steel pedal) "Sleepwalk"
Pete Drake: country
Dick McIntrye: Hawaiian

I'm taking Sneaky Pete Klienow off my list because he's lap steel, and I'm adding Jeff Healy "Roadhouse Blues" the blind player from the movie, great rockin blues!

I always find it hilarious when someone 'knowledgeable' about a thread subject tin a thread posts something like this.

We're not chess players, we're people with all kinds of interests, from all around the world who congregate on a chess site, because chess is just another thing we're interested in...

Having a conversation about slide guitar without Ry, is like having a conversation about Gibson guitars with no mention of Les Paul.
