"419 scam" scam

419 scam is where you get an email from Nigeria asking for help releasing lots of money, to which you will get loads in return. Anyone trying to help gets fleeced - not this guy

I haven't followed up you link, but I just thought I would say that I have started responding to 419s myself.

They have never replied though, much to my disappointment.

the author of the link did happen to mention his untold wealth - I guess that is a good way to get a response.

Apparently there are forums dedicated to groups of people stringing 419'ers along - would be interested to see the furthest anyone else has taken one of these.

I always reply. Most of them reply if you seem interested. My record is 7 emails from them after the first. The key is to slowly increase the absurdity but keep them thinking you are going to give them your details.
I would post a link to a hilarious correspondance one website has but it and the entire site contains swearing and I'm not too sure if it would be a good idea. If you want the link PM me.

I'm a big fan of just absurdity. Not trying to scam the scammers just seeing how long you can string them along while being nonsensical.

I have placed some fishes in the pont and am eagerly awaiting for some 419's ... perhaps we can form a group to combine tactics how to scam them as long as possible.

I remember I got one, saying he got my email from my country's world business records. I'm fourteen, FGS.
