I already know there are a number of people at this site who are into Japanese Anime, so I thought I'd just open to door to talk about anything good we've seen lately or some Q&A from each other.

Personally, if anyone is a fan of Ninja Scroll, Akira, etc., I highly reccommend you see the movie X. My favorite of the newer stuff I've seen. 🙂

Hey, that's alright. What's your favorite of what you have seen? What did you like about it?🙂

Ahhh....now Akira is a special one. The grand father as it were. If it weren't for Akira, there may not be any where near as much anime in the US as there is today. If you liked Akira, I highly reccommend you watch Ninja Scroll (the original film, NOT the sequel series). Most people that like one also like the other.

Unfortunately I haven't seen Lain yet. If you say it is good, then I will have to look for it. Thanks for your input. 🙂

"The Ghost In The Shell" and "Heavy Metal" are also pretty good.
I didn't really like Akira though. But you're right, Ninja Scroll is the best one I've seen to date.

Ghost In The Shell was a mind trip, but I loved it. It's definitely in my top ten. Personally, I like Akira but it confuses me a little. I think there was a lot lost between the movie and the manga. Perhaps a remake that went into better detail would appease more people.

Glad to hear you've seen Ninja Scroll. Dang that movies cool! Anyway, another movie like Ninja Scroll I like is Blood Reign: Curse of The Yoma. Has a much different feel, but still pretty awesome in its own right.

"Ninja Scroll" was the 1st manga I ever watched, I think about a year or two ago, so it's pretty 'special' to me. I only saw Akira after that, and yeah, a bit confusing - weird storyline. I can't actually remember the whole story - I just remember motorbikes....😕

Yeah, I had a somewhat embarrasing moment in the forums a while ago when I was about to explain Akira to someone and then.......couldn't. 😀

But definitely check out Blood Reign. I think you'll like it.
Naturally, I also push X. That movies a little hard to understand the first time you watch it (atleast it was for me) but a second or third watch will clear things up, and the superb action makes it an easy repeat view.
