My missus has a pottery wheel, and really enjoys making decorative clay bowls which she gives to me as gifts.
When she finally gets the shape she desires, she likes to use a toothpick to etch intricate details into the bowl. Her problem is the surface drying before she is finished. The clay begins to flake off rough rather than smooth lines.
Should she soak my bowls?
