I saw an interview with Bob Denver . He said Mary Ann always had the nicest breath - it smelled like Ginger .
He did so.
There was another verse
Come hear the tale of our castaways
They're here for a long long time
They'll have to make the best of it
It's an uphill climb
The first mate and the skipper too
Will do their very best
To make the others comfortable
In their tropic island nest

And so forth

Even as a kid I remember thinking - how can the professor make a radio out of coconuts and grass but not be able to fix a hole in a boat ?

If you were stranded with Ginger and Mary Ann, would you fix the boat?

I think I watched a few episodes when I was little. All I remember is the theme song-thingy though. 😕
Most people tend to forget things as they get older.

I believe that was the theme song they played at the END of the show during the closing credits....

Shouldn't it be : The Professor and Mary Ann?
In the original song it didn't even mention the Prof & Maryann. They just said, "...and the rest".
