I have no clue who this guy is...but if he is really making everyone so
angry why just not play him? I mean NOBODY. Then after awhile he
will have no games and finally everyone will catch up and pass his
rating.

Unless of course he just plays with himself.

Just my thoughts.

Speak for yourself. I can't even keep the rating I was born with, let
alone catch up with xeno.

I hear ya! But if we all ban against even playing him...then his rating
can get no higher. And eventually he will be bypassed by someone
who is deserving of #1 status.

Don't ya think?

Please dont sink to his level by using that kind of abuse (although i
kinda agree). Its just playing right into his hands. If we can just
ignore him (and i think not playing him is a good idea), then he will
soon become bored (and hopefully leave).

My thought is this: How do you know he does not deserve to be in his
present position?? I would really like to know.

Have you played him and beaten him? Or are some of us here just
jealous, and ONLY because we don't like his attitude?

I perfer to take a different position: If he is not deserving of his
current ranking, obtain a high enough rating to play him and beat him
to bring him down.

And BTW, it is not improper of him to not want to play anyone below a
certain rating. Master level players do this all the time. The reason,
of course, is there is little in it for them and the game they end up
playing is no challenge for them.

Congats. About the most sensible post I've seen for a while. I do not
specifically refer to Xeno ( although I have been on the receiving end
of his totally uncalled for abuse). I totally agree, if you suspect
someone of playing unfairly DO NOT play them. The only problem is
that a few people will be playing under a number of 'nicks' so you
never really know who you are REALLY playing. After a while though
you get to know some great people who have been here for a while
and will thoroughly enjoy your games with them.

for that compliment. I myself have never played him..or his program
or whatever and don't really care to. I have met some of the nicer
people here..like Howard..my drinking buddy...John(Vaknso)...who is
just too nice, never a bad word from this man...he truly loves the
game and just wants to play...and I respect his posts on
here...vacostner..this is my buddy Ashley from South Carolina...this
place helps us keep in touch...Kirksey957 (I hope that is the right
number) who lives in my other home state KY and is just great. And
quite a few more...if I forgot anyone, which I know I did, please post
under and say "Dave! You bunghole! What about me??"

There are alot of great people here...and alot of crappy ones. But is
the same in any Chess Club.

Thanks again Martin

you are right about great people playing under different nicks! i
believed at first that xeno was unreal. but a huge chess debate with
him revealled other not quite well known chess details.
