Seems like you're more interested in showing everybody how much you know (or how quickly you can do google searches) than you are in telling the guy what he needs to know. Pretty much a JERK thing to say, don't you think?
That's what I was thinking also.

I wasn't sure what he was talking about, me asking too many question, dumb question, etc...

At least I wasn't alone in thinking that 🙂

Cheers.

I didn't see the guy post a single 'crap excuse' - or is this your musclehead way of trying to motivate him? I started working out at home because of guys like you.
If he wants motivation or advice then he should goto the appropriate website. I pointed him in the right direction in a highly reputable and global site that he can have a look around until his hearts content but still asks questions here??

Would you ask about football on an IT site, NO.

so why ask about weight training or bodybuilding here when there is obviously going to be limited knowledge on the subject?

People post a lot of dumb thing on here.

I don't think my question were dumb. Yes there are online site and I have looked at 8 of them so far. I just want to hear real opinions.

I have asked about computer help in the general form and there are very knowledge people on here who did help me. If I was to try finding the that help on a microsoft webpage or online well then good luck to me. I would still be looking.

Thanks for you help.

It's rmacken. If he doesn't brag about this he'll have to wait another year until he has the opportunity to do it again.

(Don't make me quote you)

Here's a great question. Go to this link and look at

http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/ForeArmWt.html#anchor1936059

Wrist curl and reverse wrist curls with the barbell. I never did them this way but I tried them out and it's pretty hard to sit like that and do them with such a big bar. I don't have those nice small onces with the good grip. I can maybe do about 35 pound or so with reverse write curls.

What I mostly do is do the same thing but standing up. I can do 115 pounds more then 10 times easily and properly. The only difference is that I'm standing up.

Is there really a difference between doing them sitting down or standing up? I prefer standing up but if it doesn't work as good then I can switch.

personnaly i would always do wrist curls sitting down, as then you cannt 'cheat'. As doing them standing up means that you unintentionaly use you back during the last few reps.

Also to be honest your forarms, which these excrices are for get a good work out doing curls etc so unless you are a bodybuilder i would not bother doing them regular!

i've a rather nice pair of Personnal Trainers. asics 2110's. they brought me in with a could-have-been-better-but-still-kinda-respectable 48 mins in a 10k charity run on saturday. we could have been quicker, but the sun was really getting to us. but i suppose that's what happens when you train at night...

What about breaks in-between sets?

I read somewhere 5 minutes in-between on different sites. It's not very clear though and most people work out in a gym so they have limited time to work out. Since I have a mini gym at home I usually do 1 exercise then go work on something else, come back 1 hour so later and then do that same exercise again.

Is this bad? Should I do bench press, wait 5 minutes or do some other exercise and then do bench press again?

Can I do another exercise in that 5 min rest or no exercises ?

Thats called supersets... for example you do bench press 1 set of 10 then you do 1 set of 10 reps of bent over rowing, then back to benching pressing untill you have done 3 or 4 sets of each. yeah you can do that but its very hard so i think you should leave that until after 6 months of training.

Like U i also train at home by the way.

anyway for now do 1 set of 10 reps of bench press, rest for about 45sec and then do another set of 10 reps of bench pressing, etc until u have completed 4 sets of bench pressing

You gotta be joking!

10 reps of bench pressing, wait 45 seconds and then do 10 more reps, wait 45 sec, then do 10 more reps, wait 45 seconds and then do 10 more reps?

No way!! That's brutal. I read that on some other weight sites 1 min to 3 min break inbetween.

I should use less weights then and maybe do 8 instead of 10 reps.

I did 3 sets of 10 at 90 pounds each but had about 1-3 hour break inbetween them.

First time I doing this. Mostly I do 1 set and then I call it quits and do some other exercises.
