I want to know if it's normal, at some point of the process, to feel like "freakin' A, I want to give up" ?
Some orientation would also be good. I'm tired. I read, think and type this brick every night after work. I'm burnt.
It differs a lot from field to field, but I'd say some despairing moments are normal. Are you finishing it this year?

I just requested an extension to exceed the 4 years. After that, I must present a yearly advance of so so 10 pages per year, and the sky is the limit.
I haven't lost the thrill of finishing it and the lifelong dream to be a doc (yeah, the ego thing plays a factor), but I would like to throw the laptop from the balcony and replace the book pile with some nice pinball table, lol
You do it full time?
