Everyone here is in the midst of exam-revision, and there's a sort of black market trade in Su Dokus. Today I've done the one from the Times, the Telegraph and the Imperial newspaper.

I seem to recall T1000 having a fascination not long ago. Has the affliction reached any other RHPers?

I'm not quite addicted to them, but not far away. Just at work though.

I've always loved puzzles like these. I'm not a great maths brain, but fortunately these are more a puzzle of logic despite the use of numbers.

Actually, maths is more of a puzzle of logic and intuition and staring at stuff until it becomes clear, despite the use of numbers 🙂.

I think puzzles of this sort really are fascinating, and it's amazing how many people are attracted to them to some extent (there's a reason why every newspaper worth its salt has a crossword at least).

I do them occasionally, but do prefer it when the Listener Crossword puts in a number puzzle. I enjoy the variety in the challenge, something Su Doku is lacking in. In fact it'd be good if they just dropped the word versions of the Listener, I'm not a fan of those (I can't do them at all, whereas I have submitted correct answers to the number ones - still to win though).

I'm stuck at a very early stage with them. I don't know what they are. 😞

You're given a 9x9 grid, which is further divided into 9 3x3 grids. Some of the cells contain numbers from 1-9. Your task is to insert digits such that every row, column, and 3x3 grid contains each digit exactly once.
