You can't change the chat back, but all other enhancements can be toggled off so the you can get the behaviour close to that of the board prior to the update.

As you know I play more for the verbal intercourse than the game itself so any technical updates/changes, really don’t affect me…well yet.🤔👍

One of the goals was maximise the board size for the available display (unless a smaller size is preferred) whilst eliminating scrolling*.

During the beta process, the original method was trialed, but the board was greatly reduced in size when messages stacked up above the board.

The alternative, which you are now using, is the biggest change of this release, but give it ...[text shortened]... t least, and you may be become less resistant to it.

* edit : When not on mobile/portrait tablet.

The chat log should scroll to the most recent message, as you say.

I'll look at making this happen asap.

For now the chat log will scroll automatically to the bottom when it is opened.

i want the chat to autoscroll to the most important tidbit of information and expand outward from both directions at once

and spin upon the Y axis
