Try find the freaking "shrinking" mushroom in the fields in KQ1 when all you see are orange pixels...
IBMPCjr. That's right. The peanut.
I couldn't imagine playing these games on a monochrome monitor.
As I recall, the mushroom was one screen west of the leprechaun hole
that had the magic shield in it (be sure to bring the cheese from the
witch's house for the giant mouse). You had to grab onto some bird
that dropped you there, because it was covered by a river. You need
something else too...a clover? I can't remember it all without playing
it.
Those were the best games.

YES.
Those old Sierra games were the best! Remember the "Leisure Suit Larry" series? Good times.
Space Quest: Reloaded is a new Space Quest made by fans to run on XP...have a look at abandonware sites (www.the-underdogs.org), or, alternativly, get SCUMM, the engine that was used to create Monkey Island style games, and make your own.
Other than that, try right clicking on the icon for Space Quest, and try making it run in Compatibility Mode for 3.1/95, or run it from a DOS Shell. Also, go to DOSGames (www.dosgames.com), and get MoSlo, and other tools for running old Dos Games.
Hope this helps.
