Oh Fred man! I see your reasoning, but you must be triangulated there (a favourite trick of GM Barry Cryer). Think I could have stolen a win on that move if it wern't for the experienced play of Squaccerman and his fiendish Swiss Cottage.

However, enables the dangerously close Chalk Farm I think...

Swiss Cottage..it brings up sooo many difficulties in what is now such an open game. im going to have to go for a wholly unsatisfactory waterloo.

Tension slowly ratcheting up - western triangle now closed by the fiendish swiss cottage, shepherd's bush combination.

Shoreditch (careful of the temporal feint or you'll forfeit a red token!)

Pimlico. Pimlico, Pimlico, PIMLICO, he he he he Pimlico! I never imagined that the Yasser Seirawan precident could make it into an actual game, but I stand before you now and declare Pimlico.
I can die happy. (Or at least a modicum less sad)

squaccerman...i hate to end your joy of introducing the Yasser Seirawan precident into the game but it had already been used by marcus in the second move of this game lol! however looking through the rule book it is deemed acceptable in this situation so we shall proceed with ladbrooke grove! savaging the opponants oppertunity to reply with a strong paddington.

just thought i would have a look on the net for some MC information and found these very amusing paragraphs, i think the last one will amuse you greatly, but you have to read it all to understand! here goes...

"The game of Mornington Crescent was invented in the late nineteenth century by the drivers of Hackney carriages as a serious attempt to design a one-way system around the increasingly busy area of Euston in London. It is variously credited to Arthur Mowe, a Cockney, and Horstmann Ure, a second generation Silesian immigrant.
A simple, but profitable, variation on the game is still played by London taxi drivers, because their motto is "He was a stranger, and I took him in". Cabbies try to include Mornington Crescent in every journey. This helps to maximise fares for journeys which would not naturally contain a diversion via the Euston district.

An Edinburgh, Scotland, taxi driver holds the current unofficial record. Fraser McFurtive (37) managed to include Mornington Crescent in a journey between Drumsheugh Gardens and Milton Road West (both in Edinburgh), on the excuse that he was avoiding congestion in Princes Street (without mentioning that there is also a Princes Street in London). " 😀

Hmm, Freddie, I'm not sure that this isn't triangulation. Using Tavistock as we are....oh of course the Jubilee line extension, I see. But that means...can I, is it Mornington Crescent? I think it is, yup using Yasser, it Mornington Crescent! (Don't think I'd have got away with that if we had many more people playing.)
