Keep up the good work.

Its a nice part of Brazil, not as violent as other places in the country. She is now the head of the music department, bogged down in work and longs to get back to just teaching and composing which she still does, as well as singing in an ancient music choral group and playing flute against a friend who plays classical harp but she is swamped with work for sure doing administration now. The picture you saw of the little girl was a pic I snapped in 1970 or so, she was 2 years old ATT. The first tune there, The river, was one I entered in the music contest, remember that from a couple of years ago, I won that one! Heathers Waltz is my first waltz form tune, then Jumping Jive, the slide guitar piece was done on the spurt of the moment at the hotel where I was staying when I was working in Toledo Ohio at a cleanroom, Midwest Micro Devices, a semiconductor foundry, but during my time off, I was recording every nite and Jumping jive just appeared out of nowhere, totally spontaneous combustion and took about one hour to work out the details with the mandolin track. The last tune, Andronian Android, was my answer to my buddy Yves Channdon, a great french musician and former band member, taught us a tune called Andro, an ancient melody which is the second tune on that set, the first tune being my own invention so it is a two tune set. On my CD, I have 21 new tunes and for some reason, 4 or 5 of the tunes have a french flavor to them, like the Android. Am working on a second CD of even newer tunes, about 8 or so done. So I am in the middle of a productive creative spurt. Not bad for a genuine old fart, eh.
Nice music! Rec´d!
Where in Brasil Heather lives?

Originally posted by sonhouseGreat stuff! I really like "The River" (even though NoMeansNo beat you to the name) and "Andronian Android". You really captured a nice Celtic sound there.

Originally posted by demonseedHey, thanks! I never thought of Andro as celtic but it probably is, a celtic region of France. BTW there is a spanish derivative language there called Oxitan, my friend Yves Channdon sings songs in that language. It drives the French crazy to think French is not the only language in France!
