I discovered such a thing on my body. HOW GROSS!!! 😳
A piece os skin protruding beyond the normal physical dimensions of space on a human being...

Ok, so I made an apointment with a skin doctor and went into the office today. I walked into the dermotologist's office and sat down as I noticed there were about 30 people before me. πŸ™

After an hour went by all those people were gone and another 30 people took their waiting places. I felt kinda good, knowing that *I* was ahead of all these people! And that *I* was going to be called NEXT!

But time passed... maybe the skin doctors broke for lunch or something, I dunno. All I know is that this woman who came in with her kid 30 minutes after me was at the front desk complaining about waiting too long. And the receptionist told her that "You are next". *sigh*

I wondered why this woman who came in 30 minutes after me was 'going to be next'? But I remained calm and continued to wait. Sure enough, 10 minutes later they called her to see the doctor.

Well, I gotta tell you, this did not sit well with me. I wrestled with myself for about two minutes and finally found myself up at the desk talking to the clerk. I said to her, "Pardon me but I need to ask you something? Why did you give me an apointment for 11:45am when you expect me to wait beyond 1:00pm? AND, why are you allowing people who come in half an hour AFTER I've showed up to go in front of me!?

She said that the people who were going in front of me were seeing their doctor for a scheduled appointment.

DUH! This is what I was doing! So I then asked her when I would be able to get in to the doctor and she told me (get this!) "Well, the doctor needs to take a lunch break after his last patient, but we'll get you in as soon as possible."

I went berserk! I told them, "YOU ARE FIRED!!!". I also said I'd NEVER, EVER see them again!

Ok, Ok... trying to calm down. I have a friend who comes over to study chess on Tuesdays (which is tomorrow) so I'm thinking of having him take my scissors and just cutting the skin tab off at the base. Hell, I can handle a little pain. Just hope that skin tag doesn't have a vein in it and I bleed allot. πŸ˜•

Does anybody know if it's safe to cut one of those things off?

I'd go back to the doctor and force him to bite it off.

To get rid of these safely (if it is a skin tag) you are supposed to have them tied off with surgical thread. This cuts off the blood supply to them and after a few days they will fall off. If you cut them off with scissors they will bleed a fair bit because their is a loop of blood vessel inside them. You should see a doctor to make sure that you have correctly identified what it is however, and then if you ask s/he will probably tie it off for you.
N/B: this is a personal opionion and should not be considered actual medical advice for which you should talk to a qualified doctor.

You could rub in some crushed match heads soaked in a little lighter fluid then set fire to it. I did this to a wart on my hand when I was a kid and it worked...still got a small scar though.

If I were you, I'd make an appointment with a skin doctor.

This is correct.
My dad takes these off with nail clippers, though they bleed a lot, just be ready with iodine and bandage.
