Yeah, I could do that, but I'd rather have someone say, "You should check out XXXXX; I play there and it's cool..."

So, here comes Question Re-phrasal #4:
Can anyone recommend a good online backgammon site?

www.truemoneygames.com has a good interface, plenty of free tournaments plus you can play for free (or money). Opponents are tough if you play for larger amounts.

www.gammonempire.com - don't like the interface as much but the quality of players is lower. Can play for free but no free torunaments that I can recall.

www.clubgames.com - new kid on the block so can be quiet. Doesn't have a downloaded client which can be a plus. Free tournaments

www.gamesgrid.com - Yearly subscription (c $80). You can play for free without subscribing but the options are limited.

They're the 4 best that I've come across........In that order.

One other thing to add. Clubgames has a more social atmosphere (i.e. a lot of people chat when playing). This is not the case at TMG or GE where it's more serious (but then money tends to be involved)

I think yahoo games has a backgammon site. Haven`t used it in awhile so might not be there now. No money, no tournaments but quite fun.

Aren't games included on your operating system? Mine has MSN internet backgammon already on it [Zone.com, I think].
It's always been listed under games in the "All Programs" menu.

Along with all the card games.

The dice on MSN have been cracked. I haven't got the hack and I don't think it's widely available.

The level of play there is fairly poor too.
