My newest CD is done, except for normalization of tracks. It would take a lot of time to go back into Sonar and get the volume right on each track (16 tracks done), so I wonder what other people do for batch normalization, and if anyone has heard of 'meta normalization', any freeware out there to do that job? I used to have CD maker I believe from Sony but I lost it in the house and Wavelab essentials but it is not loading right on my music computer, loads ok on another comp, probably some kind of compatibility issue with Kontakt or Sonar.

What is mediamonkey, new one on me. I did it though, I had an old copy of Wavelab essentials, first version, and it would not load on my music machine for some reason so I was able to get it to load on our family machine upstairs and it worked but it was a bit of a pain because I had to first make a cd of the raw tracks, take the cd upstairs and have Wavelab massage each track, which took three iterations to get rid of all the level errors and artifacts from the beginning of some of the tracks where I would make an inadvertent noise and it came through in playback, wavelab easily lets me clip off the beginnings of the tracks and the ends to get the silent bits at both ends to be about the same amount of time and get rid of squeeks and such when you first hit the record button on Sonar. So I managed to finish my current project. The full version of Wavelab costs 500 bucks, a bit steep for a home studio but it would do everything and then some for post production work. The essentials version is about 3 bills and I am going to look on Ebay for cheaper used ones of later release than my old version 1.
