There are quite a few "live" players on the site. You just need to learn who they are and what times they are usually playing. Myself and dinc168 (if I may use your name) are playing live games on RHP nightly. We are both in North America, so we're probably playing while you're fast asleep. Purclecow (if I may use your name also) is another live player and I believe is closer to your timezone. And if I can't use their names then everyone read him and her respectfully above. 😀 Well, one of them is just a fictional purple cow anyhow. 😛

There is the one exception of when i played purtlecow the other day and i lost to a very crafty move, but that wouldn't have happened if she was 1600 cos i'd have been paying more attention.😞(or so i like to tell myself anyway...)

1148 rating is a happy one for me...very deceiving maybe but i don't like the 1600 rating and i delete and resign people that lie to me about having so called live games that they run away from, so that keeps my rating happy....after all to me it is just numbers.
Oh....and marinakatomb.....that castle in the middle of no-where was great bait....you really wanted to take it, i could see it.....it was sooo alone....lol. great game though :-)

Marinakatomb, I'll take a live game anytime- I'm usually on for several hours which I believe are around 1am to 5am in the UK. If I'm on just send me a challenge. Many of the fast players sacrifice their rating due to frustration- many will just resign if a player quits moving because they don't want to wait for the TO (I think this is why some quit moving). So, I wouldn't take their rating too seriuosly. I know for fact that the players I mentioned can play well above thier current rating. Even the purple cow. By the way, if you aren't fictional, does that mean there's a REAL purple cow runnning around playing chess?
