I saw Fahrenheit when it came out. And I've absorbed many points of view on many issues. Usually you can tell what the editorial stance is, and Moore certainly doesn't try to hide it.

However I'm bemused by those who claim the movie is just a collection of HIS lies. There are many people in the film expressing a point of view. It's not just Moore. The soldiers securing the routes for the Haliburton truck drivers, and yet getting paid a lot less are speaking for themselves, not Moore. The State Trooper putting his view view of the security of America's coastline is speaking for himself, not Moore.

Certainly what Moore puts forward is selective. But that doesn't make it untrue. And the anti-Moore camp never seem to rebut his arguements point by point. They just state that they are "lies". I guess if you state that often enough, some folk might believe it. Politics seem to work that way.

When that guy asked Rumsfeld why the Marines where having to reinforce their armoured vehicles with scrap metal a few months back, I didn't see Moore anywhere in sight. Maybe that guy was lying too.

Arrakis, I agree with you, in my opinion Bush is an extremely dangerous, misguided simpleton who is more concerned with greed than with any of the virtues he is so fond of talking about in public. However, as with Never Missed, I will keep myself out of any debate in here, I merely wanted to encourage people to make their own decisions 'after' watching the film, I was not making any political stance.

I am truly sorry about your wife.
