Originally posted by hopscotchIt allows you to step back and get a field of view around your character which enables you to see more and do more, and with more control. It allows you to react more quickly to threats because you can get a 360 degree view around your character without "spinning in place" which really *was* lame. First person, third person, call it what you want, it's better than the lame 90 degree arc you got (if you were lucky) in more traditional FP shooters
This APB game isn't a first person shooter. It's a third person shooter. Which makes it lame.
My question is: is this one player only or can you go online with a city full of players?
Originally posted by hopscotchYeah, quick turn into a first person shooter. Use the same, tired old engine that all the other first person shooters use, theme it around the usual rebels in a post-apocalyptic war storyline so all the wannabe military nerds get a hard-on for it, chuck in a few 'original' weapons and stock graphics to make it stand out from the crowd and BANG yet another AWESOME FPS that only the fanboys will like.
^ see what I mean about it being lame? ^
That's not lame at all...

Originally posted by SuzianneYou play with other people. Usually so far i've been in 4-8 player games. You can see other missions happening around you, but the only way you can interfere is by running over them haha. You have two character types, enforcers and criminals. You pick a type, then go to one of the maps, and you can either join with your friends, or be jioned with a group of other enforcers (usually 4, but i hear there is room for up to 60 people playing at the one time). You are then pitted against an equal number of criminals, either you have a mission and it is their job to stop you, or you have to stop them carrying out their crime.

If you get a good team that knows what they are doing, it can be quite quite fun. Stealing a car, your team mates hanging out the window shooting up teh street....and that's the enforcers 😉
