Are vegetables really necessary?

General

Shouldn't we just stick to the five macro nutrients (fat, carbs, protein, tea, and beer)?

And coffee.

I think you 2 should get a bachelor suite! 🙂

I'd rather sleep outside in a cardboard box.

They tore it down, building a new water park... Now I sleep under a chestnut tree.

I like this arrangement.

Just don't expect me to bring you crayons and a pair of scissors to decorate your little cardboard box and cut out some windows or make little cyberpunk vents or whatever you're into.

Because I wouldn't. Ever.

<enjoys the sight of a misty rain falling across the city and the reflections of colored lights in the streets below from the dry comfort of a moderately priced bachelor suite for one>

Vegetables are probably the most important. Next to strength building nutrients like Meat, Eggs, Grains and Breads etc.

I can't remember a meal that didn't have Vegetables.

I'll pass on Cauliflower and Mushrooms.
If I wanted fungus I would eat Moss.

And (generally speaking) foxy people of interest. That helps regulate the qi.

So it's really just seven macro-nutrients that we need to keep in balance. No food-pyramid needed.

BTW, I'm counting potatoes as carbs, not veggies.
