I really miss chicken, and especially shrimp/all seafood, but something in all meat makes me extremely sick & I break out in hives 🙁(((

I try to make up for it with whatever I can but its hard.

What about you guys?
We're having a barbecue (the last one of summer) at my place Saturday. Hamburgers and bratwurst soaked in beer and onions will be served. I might even make macaroni and cheese and possibly a gumbo.

I haven't eaten meat (chicken, beef, pork...etc) for over a year now. I still eat fish though.

If you miss meat, there are plenty of decent substitutes on the market. The other night we had sliced seitan with gravy, red cabbage, pierogis and homemade croissants for dinner. It was delicious.

Can you imagine what it would be like NOT eating sardines? 😲

Everything harvested from the garden, available on land, in the air and sea has been provided as an intricate pyramid

to sustain human habitation on planet earth. Everything else is strictly a matter of moderation and personal choice.

So human beings are the happily-ever-after in the story of the earth?

Not quite... major battles in the arena of the mind are being played out in the intervening chapters before the book is closed for good.

It was just an instant brown gravy, from a packet. Vegetarian. Very convincing, though. We might try adding mushrooms next time.

I ask because I don't think I've ever made a vegetarian gravy before. Didn't know it was possible.
