I agree, I was saying that mentally ronaldo has a lot, but really a lot, to learn from Figo. Ronaldo is also essential to us, but it's a shame he's wasting the potential to be much more.
i know, its the same for man united, if he laid off the tricks a bit and learnt how to pass and move better he would be a far better player than he is now but hopefully that will come as he gets a bit older.

To qualify, S & M beat or drew with
San Marino, Bosnia,Belgium,Lithuania,

Spain,[the only decent team in their group] they managed a 1-1 draw.

Fair play to Argentina, they did the job. But imagine if they had drawn it would've been a catastrophic result.
are you saying Belgium is not a decent team?

What a team- well done Argentina! Hope you go far. Best team performance so far, and for some time in the World Cup. Evviva l'Argentina! What a beautiful spectacle. And Diego seemed pleased. 😀

The general consensus after this tournament's first series of matches was that only Argentina, Spain and the Czech Republic had shown the fizz, finesse and fearsome finishing of potential world champions. But on the evidence of Argentina's awesome destruction of Serbia and Montenegro today, the Spaniards and Czechs will have to up their game considerably if they're to thwart the boys from Buenos Aires. "

I agree with Argentina and Czech Republic, but Spain ? They don't have the quality of the first ones !

Not exactly my point. BTW I don't know who is Paul Doyle to make this comment, but I think (IMHO) he has made a good resume of the match between Argentina and Serbia.

AFAIK we argentines could go back home after the next round, and Spain could continue in the WC with fliying colours. Who knows?
Not me for sure.

P.S.: sorry if I'm missing something...

I hope to see Argentina playing seven times in this World Cup ... it's up to them !
BTW Riquelme is a superb midfielder, when he wants ... he needs to push the team !!! Crespo, Messi and Tevez have guts and take risks with no doubt ... thats the spirit Argentina's team needs !

... not to mention the "Pato" (Duck) Abbondanzieri, the goalkeeper. He has saved us from some severe headaches... 🙂
