Arrest warrant for singer Jackson

The singer is in Las Vegas and authorities are negotiating with his lawyer for his surrender, said senior deputy Tim Gracey.
The warrant concerns an alleged violation of a code prohibiting lewd acts with a child under 14.

One rule for one.....Celebrities dont just hand themselves in. Personally I think Jackson is one of the greatest entertainers ever, its just a shame his private life is not quite "normal".......

i wonder-has this boy been molested? or have his parents decided that him being friends with a 80 year old freak is just too much and this is the only way they can get rid of him? to be fair to the "guy" (can we call him that? tis more of an "it"...)-he had a crappy childhood, and i suppose that's why he likes shildren-cause he was never a proper child. always touring etc...i pity him.

You have to wonder how much credibilty there is in the story, Jackson is a very easy target, but he dosnt do himself any favours. It dont help when regardless of what he does, the press want to crucify him. "If" and its a big if, he has abused kids, then he deserves to go down, but personally, I cant see it. Fantastic musical talent second to none thou....

I think that it's appauling that such a famous figure should abuse his position of power to think that he can get away with lewd conduct.๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜

How do you think that Lisa-Maree Presely thinks? She brought two little boys into the failed marrige, and maybe Jackson did something to them๐Ÿ˜•

you seem to have convicted him already. Remember that it is only, and has only ever been, alledged that he's done anything, and his massive wealth, excentricity & nievity make him an obvious target.

Innocent until proven guilty, or is that principle being abandoned in the US?

I think the parents are looking for some easy cash. It's a shame that lawsuits have become a popular career choice in America. Seems like lately you can do some pretty stupid things to yourself and sue someone else for it. (The lady suing McDonalds after spilling coffee on herself was the end of it!)

If he did do it though he should go down HARD. Makes you wonder about the other lawsuit that he settled out of court. Hope that kid is ok. As a new parent... if someone did that to my kid they would have to put me in jail to protect him cause I'd go after him.

oh, please .. the guy is a total freak . He has openly admitted to sleeping in the same bed with young boys staying at his home .Why???? Care to guess . Would you have young boys over then have them sleep in your bedrooom with you??? Quit trying to give him underserved doubts simply because he has musical talent .he is a freak and in my opinion a child molester too. If anything his fame and fortune has bought him ouit of this in the past . He settled same thing in the past out of court .. And even Lisa Marie admitted her doubts about him in an interview . His fame and fortune but no real relationship with a female ever? The lisa marie marriage was a phoney set-up to clear his image before .. -please!!! spare me!!!-BBG

Well that last post just about covers it. Don't forget , it is not a civil action so no money or damages are involved.
It is a criminal charge bought by the law authourities (sp) in that state because of a complaint and evidence obtained with a legal search warrant, sworn out by a Judge and executed by the DA.

The only thing Michael Jackson's money will buy him now is very good lawyers. What part of 'criminal charges' do you rednecks not understand? Wait! - I see it now. It's a classic case of " letsgettheblackmanitis" All that is missing is the white robes and burning crosses.

the skeeter ( white and female, if it helps )

Up to a point I agree, but people with good lawyers have more chance of getting off surely (for example OJ)

And I think a white man (or woman) would be pilloried equally for the same conduct.

Yes this is true, the allegations were given to the police by a child psychologist working with this kid, the parents tried to stop the action of the police against Jackson as they believe (probably rightly) that the current events will do more harm to their child than may have been done already. Note also, the police are bringing "multiple" charges, sounds like this was the final bit of evidence they needed, and that they have been building a case for a while.

I think it is safe to say somthing is "not quite right" with Jackson, and you have to wonder why any parent woukd let their child "sleep over" in the first place (money springs to mind).

What was the DA guy representing the police on about though! "he has done it before, and we are going to get him this time" (to para phrase). Nice legal system their boys - who needs courts to find people guilty!

You're right, this is a criminal case as it should be, and can't be settled for money out of court. That doesn't mean that the origional complaint wasn't intended to get the complainer into a civil court to get cash. And even if it is a criminal case now, will the boys family be giving all the newspaper interviews & book rights away for free?

I haven't heard anything of the evidence yet - that's what we should be looking to. I hope justice will out too, but justice based on facts and truth not 'get the weirdo'.
