Make it a double on the rocks with a twist of lemon.

Jim is Bourbon, Jack is whiskey. 🙂 Both fine spirits.
IMO underappreciated are the whiskies produced by our neighbors to the North.
CLC and Crown come to mind.

I certainly don't under appreciate them. Crown Royal is smooth man. Plus I like the little pouch it comes in. Great for storing my stash.

Both are Bourbon Whiskeys.
Jack Daniels prefer to market themselves as a whiskey.

Sorry but no sir. Jack Daniels is made in Tennessee.
Bourbon can only be made in Bourbon County Kentucky.
Similar to Champagne only being made in the Champagne France.

Marketing!

Although the product generally meets the regulatory criteria
for classification as a straight bourbon, the company disavows
this classification and markets it simply as Tennessee whiskey
rather than as Tennessee bourbon

An ex-gf was a bourbon fanatic - I always preferred a cellar-temperature
pint of bitter! And I had this whiskey/bourbon argument with her 15 years
ago. (I lost)

😀

In my pantry I have
Dundee Cake
Eccles Cakes
Bakewell Tarts
Nice Biscuits (next to the Bourbon Creams)
and
London Gin in my drinks cabinet

Tonight we are having Yorkshire Pudding with our roast followed by Eton Mess.

None of the above have ever seen the Northern Hemisphere let alone their namesake origins!

btw: TNG much better than the original!! (but that's another thread!)
