When I lived in Cincinnati, a bank downtown paid some artist to create something for their lobby. The result was two rows ( I think of 8) square boards, each with a solid color on it. A blue square, then a red square, etc.

Questionable whether it was "art". The funniest part was a few years later they had the lobby painted. The painters took down the squares, and nobody remembered what order they got hung in, so they had to pay the artist to come back in and perform his "magic".

LOL -- your tax dollars at work! U of Ariz. has some stupid sculpture that looks like mutant clothespins. Always drove me nuts!
