Hello all,

once again I'm seeking help regarding a computer issue and where better to ask then in the almighty RHP forums - thanks guys for all the help you've given me so far -

My questions,

Can anyone explain Azureus to me, what are seeds, peers, where do I get the best torrents and what other things I need to take into consideration to maximise the performance ... Also I've downloaded a game and it's a BIN file ... the next game is a IMG file the next a ISO file ... What the heck do I do with them ??

Thanks heaps
Boris

Dunno about Azureus.

Normally, u get a .cue file witth Bins, imgs and isos.

The cue will look something like this
FILE "SOMETHING.BIN" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00

Obviously changing the something.bin to whatever the file u want to burn is. Everything else normally stays the same.

Have a search in the same place that u got the .bin/.iso/.img

Load up Ahead Nero, and chose burn image, and then choose the .cue file, and then follow the instructions. That should do it.

You will need to burn it onto a cd or mount it on a virtual cd drive.

You can use Alcohol 120% or nero for either.

Or Daemon tools for just mounting the image.

You can download azureus at http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ or you can download bitTorrent from http://www.bittorrent.com/. Then u just open the .torrent file with bittorrent or azureus

You should also download winrar if you don't have it yet (use kazaa to get it easily enough). A lot of bittorents will be in winrar format and need unpacking. Would recommend Nero 6.0 or higher for dealing with .cue , .bin and .iso files you can download cracked versions that run fine from kazaa. Once you have these items try www.torrentreactor.com or www.suprnova.org for your torrents.

Also if you have a huge hard drive and are willing to store copies of downloads for others, DC++ is an interesting alternative to bittorrents.

Avoid kazaa if possible. It's a lot of crap there, installs spyware on computer on install and also there is virus on their networks. You can also use Alcohol 120% to mount .cue, .bin, .iso and so on on a virtual drive, if u don't have a cd burner

I only use kazaa for quick music downloads nowadays and the occasional software find. It can be useful as an online jukebox 🙂 But as long as your pc security, anti-virus and anti-spyware is up to date you shouldn't have too many problems. Just do regular system scans.

Boris, I had the same problem exactly a while ago until a friend of mine explained to me how to open these freakin' BIN files.
Burning the Cue file is one option but it doesn't always work for me; What you should do is download the program "Daemon Tools" from kazaa.
Then all you need to do is mount the Cue file onto theDaemon Tools (dead easy, I can explain once you finish downloading this program)
Then the game will start by itself...

Not a good idea to recommend cracked programs on here in case you didn't know. RHP does not condone software piracy.

Tis only my personal opinion, I do not wish RHP to endorse my choices and if Russ wishes to delete it, I will of course understand 🙂
