Rainman is one of my favorite songs on Encore.
Other than that... Good points.

Thought of one more thing to say... alert the posts if they are that bad.... and we can work from there.
So, another user bites the dust by popular vote and gets permenantly banned off the island because ppl do not like them and beleive by his/her removal, Utopia will strike the forums and ppl will live in peace! *snickers* Where have we seen this before in RHP history? Other Dodger's will come and go in this site, there are already a fair share of people who offend me by doing the following that no1 mentions, this doesn't seem very constitutional mod policy to me, it seems like people can just be voted out off popular beliefs. This campaigning to boot people off, if anything, should be against the TOS itself and it has been the most abusive process by far in the history of this site the past year and it's STILL going. If you come across somebody you don't like, simply rack up a few friends, make a case, and he/she is as good as gone, this happens all the time. Why waste time with such sillyness? The community should focus on banning chess cheaters who hide in the shadows, like any other respected chess site does, not focus on banning people who cause controversy in silly little forums. You guys should use your priorities better.

Will this "banning people who talk about hate" policy extend to some of our posters who regularly post homophobic statements and slurs? Will it include those who voice the sentiment that all those who do not share their religious beliefs will be eternally punished by God? Finally, will it include those of us who publicly post that we hate playi ...[text shortened]... inst the Center Counter or the Caro-Kann?

I feel there is no room for dodger here at RHP, simply because he was warned about it and keeps it up.... Russ has said he feels the same way, and I stand by that. Next come the freedom fighters who want a solution to everything... yet do nothing to help. Don't ask me what Russ wants, you ask him.
I am thinking perhaps I should just not offer my insight anymore, and let you guys wonder what is going on... I give info so you guys might have an idea of what is going on, and it is MY credibility on the line for doing so.
See ya's.

Matulose... do you also want to be banned again? Just wondering.

PS And yes, Exiled, something should certainly be done about "people lurking in the shadows"!
PPS Phlabby, you know I don't alert and my reasons for not doing so. I recognize that the mods and site admins get conflicting advice from different people on the site and that you can't please everybody but I have my beliefs and I stick to them even if it means putting up with posts I find vile. That's my position and I've been consistent with it (and it's somewhat ironic for you to advise DrScribbles to "alert posts", don't ya think๐ฒ).
Originally posted by SirUlrichWell, I did pay a while ago (a year ago actually) and got bloody banned anyways for posting on the forums, essentially ripped off, so your point is mute. I'll pay AGAIN when these serious issues are adressed properly.
This why I would not allow non-subscribers to post in the forums.

this thread should be closed now, the thread topic has no meaning anymore as he's already gone, and verytihng that has been wrote lately isoff-topic, goodnight! ๐

It is those who are unaware of how (or simply unable) to conduct themselves properly in a public forum who end up getting banned.

Hmmm, have not read the racier posts by Dodger11 that probably were removed; but I just read through all of his posts at this site that are left. I did not see anything too offensive, and actually it was pretty entertaining to read. They (powers that be) must have removed tons of stuff that she/he posted because I did not see anything remotely worth banning a person for in there; or at least no more offensive as some member’s postings that are overlooked. Did this person go on a racist rampage here? Ah, nevermind....where is my torch and pitchfork.

Maybe a skull and crossbones beside their name. And maybe once a year we could have the "Barabbas Contest" where we vote back one member of the past year who has been banned.
