I was being doubly ironic.
I thought someone with a retro handle would have dug that the most, Daddio!
But seriously, just use www.dictionary.com with the words that don't seem right. Watch out for Nordlys, she might report you.

i agree. no thought is made of the fact that the person making the grammatical error might not speak english as a first language.
Its nothing short of Intellectual terrising
Then, may be we'll have a serious discussion.

What would your honest opinion be about an editorial writer who could not spell correctly or even take the time to proofread/spellcheck his writing? I doubt many people would take this writer seriously. If said writer cared about his opinion, or perhaps wanted other people to take him seriously, he would take the time to re-read what he wrote and make sure that it is sound.
I don't care if someone doesn't normally speak English, the same rule applies. If you care about getting your message across, take the time to make sure that the message has no spelling errors.
Of course, if somebody DOESN'T care, then why should I?

I was defending non-english speakers.
i said that people who correct peoples english, do not always think about who they are correcting.

My point is that just because someone cant spell, doesnt make his point any less valid, if you read the whole thread, and not stop at the bit you think you can point score on, it might help.
To waste perfectly good threads by petty corrections is nothing short of playground bullying, and i for one, will defend those who wish to put their point across. I think that the constant put downs because of typos and bad spelling is frankly bellow any normal intelligent person.
