Any metal I've heard that isn't Rammstein or System of a Down.

Darv is a heretic; the (pre-Sandinista!) Clash were great and the Strokes have made some decent music.
Rammstein?

Oh God, where is my vomit smiley?!

Try and keep it less than obvious. It is understood that most of us hate pop music/MTV tripe...

3) The Strokes
JethroTull
PinkFloyd
GreenDay
Clash
SexPistols

Other than the Clash, the Libertines and Bruce, there are some excellent choices here.

Well done everyone who said Coldplay. Also The Darkness.

Personally I would add the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Massive Attack (woo, controversial), and of course the Doors.

Ultra-controversial: three-quarters of everything the Ramones have ever done, and Smog (don't hate ya, just don't love ya).

I second that opinion,

There is one band I hate more than them that everyone else seems to love.... Muse. My contempt for them comes from the fact I've had the misfortune to actually meet them.

I have had terrible difficulties in getting your rhp mix cd to you. Ok, I lie, I've just been very lazy. The cd has been ready for months but the post office is a long walk.

That's okay, I recently decided that 30% of the tracks I've covered for yours are rubbish/unsuitable and so will have to be replaced with something else. I'm thinking a Smiths medley perhaps, how does that sound?

Thanks to everyone who said "Coldplay". They were the 1st one that popped into my head when I read the thread title.

Alanis Morreset(sp)
Madonna
Fleetwood Mac
Traci Chapman
Bare Naked Ladies(They make me absolutely homocidal)
Nirvana
Anything having to do with that fat catholic chic from "10,000 Maniacs" , whose name I seem to have blocked out.
Supertramp

Baccara ... GREAT songs like ... "Sorry I'm a lady" and "I can boogie" ... FABULOUS, but everybody hates it ... unbelievable.

Darn ... read the thread backwards.

Herbert Grönemeyer (maybe Nordlys, Boris etc will know what I'm talking about)

As a huge fan, I'm just wondering how much MSP you have heard? Is it both the old stuff and new stuff, or is it just the stuff that had radio play?
