Piratez Tavern. Taffer (who is awesome and annoying) failed to realize that the tavern owners main concern was not cash flow, but instead she was trying to live a dream (plus make money). I'd like to see if his skills are strong enough to make such happen, but he didn't even try. After a few weeks she ditched his successful concept and started dreaming again.

Was there a point where you realized this might not work?
Just joshing around on a Sunday afternoon. Good thread.

Yeah, when I saw the urban environment the Tavern lives in. I don't know what she was thinking when she located there. Availability, I guess. Taffer did good, if making dollars was concern number one. But it straight up wasn't.

Well, it may be possible that some people's intelligence may lie in areas other than being smart.

Yes. I've had very good high-volume cooks who cannot be trusted to do inventory. But that misses the point.

Well, given that 90 + % of communication is non-verbal, it seems the interviewing negatives of cooks could be improved by focusing on attitude. Hire new ones.

The hardest part of running a business, for me, is keeping the kids (employees!) happy enough. You kick them to the curb so easily? And if I ever had a point, you killed it. Maybe it deserved to die. It just kinda bothers me that Taffer is so successful and arrogant and can still so entirely miss the point.

Transparency is sometimes too much, sometimes not enough. Your biz will succeed because you've got the right mix.
