@mister-moggy saidNot to worry, I hear Barbie is having a sex change to win Ken back.
@drewnogal
i heard that ken and gi joe are living together in san francisco now.
@whodey saidThe rumor started about ken was never true to begin with, barbie isn't getting a sex change. I have that from very reliable sources! 😉

@drewnogal saidBoys never needed Barbie - only girls are that unsophisticated and fixated on big b^^^s and small waists. (Almost all men do love b^^^s, but if we're honest, we don't care about size. Any reasonable-looking ones we can get our hands on are fine.)
Mine was a honey blonde in a turquoise dress.
She was a kind of grown up doll I played with through the start of puberty. 🤔
@shallow-blue saidHmmmmm....Interesting crowd you know!

And face the truth: this remains so until well after puberty. Of girls just as well (or badly) as boys. I know too man ...[text shortened]... hose life consists of playing with dolls - to the detriment of their children, husbands and friends.
@very-rusty saidIt was either that or Barbie was converted to Islam, I can't remember which.

@whodey saidI'd be careful there you riding a very fine line!

Makes the dolls easier to make with the hijab and all.
@great-big-stees saidRight!
That's a rhetorical question right? Good God Drew. it's HOH. 😀
@very-rusty saidOh, thought it was a moderator as the quote disappeared in consecutive posts?
HOH of course!!! 😉

@drewnogal saidPerhaps you are correct, I was just assuming. When HOH had the same icon up as I do a moderator told me he had removed my post, but it was HOH'S post. I see since that time HOH'S icon changed. Don't know if he did or the Mod told him to do it. He did it for the very purpose of trying to confuse, even a few people directed their responses to me that HOH had directed to them using the same Icon I use. I guess it is called an avatar ( the sunset )
Oh, thought it was a moderator as the quote disappeared in consecutive posts?
@moonbus saidGood grief, they're just dolls, albeit smaller, easier to make up scenarios for them to act out. I always thought Barbies were so skinny so little girls could hold onto them easier. I don't recall any of my friends wanting to look like Barbie.
Barbie personified an ideal for several generations of girls. It took Mattel ages to update the doll with a black-skinned Grace-line that wasn't simply a White-Barbie dyed dark.

However, I'm not altogether sanguine about the ideal of beauty which t ...[text shortened]... are equally absurd ...
All in good fun, so long as girls don't go bulimic trying to emulate them.
@suzianne saidIt is not realistic to expect a girl/woman to look like barbie.

@very-rusty saidit's nice to see that boys still play with dolls
