i relised the otehr day - how random are beards? with some people, having a beard is understandable. for instance, there is a guy in my hall who'se facial hair grows so fast that there really is no point in shaving regularly...but those people who have a beard out of choice? why?!? it just seems quite...random...my dad has a beard. it's very random...

My beard is also random (it grows in random spots across my face).

However, my girlfriend does not behave randomly around my beard - beard = cold shoulder. Say no more, say no more, nudge nudge, wink wink.

I suggest you grow it long enough to cover them then 🙂

It's not random. People called Alan who wear arran jumpers and are members of CAMRA always have beards. Apparently.

I grow the beard until the wife says get it off.

It also changes your appearance totally.

It can be a conversation piece!

Women stroke your face just to have a feel!! Handy if you are a single man looking for love.

It can be quite stimulating for women who like the number 69 so I am told.

My Dad is called Alan, he wears arran jumpers (well, fisherman's ganseys), he likes folk music and real ale (but not a CAMRA member).
And...he has a beard!!

I like the feel of a day or two of beard on a man's face. It scratches mine but it is very erotic!

At a folk festival I was at last year, one of the acts (reminded me a bit of G-Love) sang something along the lines of...

'The gig's no longer hip man
When the crowd looks like Harold Shipman'

I looked around the crowd and had to agree, the bearded real ale drinkers resembling the mad Dr himself were everywhere. It was quite sobering 🙄
