Over here in the states I'm catching a periodic Adidas commercial on the "Tele" which features David Beckham telling a short story about getting sent off in the world cup and making what he considers a comeback.
Now, regardless of your personal opinion of Beckham, I have a simple question. In the commercial he says he received "deaf frets" (meaning death threats). Does he have a speech impediment or is this one of the English dialects? I'm having a disagreement with my dad about this and I though, "what better way to resolve this than to ask the international community?"

I was under the impression he was a great humanitarian taking in the toothy little varmints. 😳

You should hear me trying to pronounce 'three', it's hilarious. 😞

lol That's how they talk where he was raised - London.🙂
death threats - you're right.
Assuming that was a serious enquiry. 😕
Or is it just a sub-region? What is the dialect called?
