I've been off work for 9 days now with bronchitis brought on by flu. I'm on steroids and anti-biotics and I'm feeling useless and bored sitting at home. My lungspan is so small I can barely walk to the kitchen and back without coughing. Basically I feel awful...
... awful that is, until I found something on my DVD shelf, the Led Zep DVD. 5 hours of prime live Led Zep genius, some of the footage unseen before. So I whack it on the machine and hook it up to my stereo (1960s Philips speakers through a modern Denon amp) and now I'm at the concert! Currently watching 'Since I've been Loving you' live at Madison Square Garden and you've never seen anything like it. I love this, it has done more to improve my mood than all the drugs I've been taking all week! Sweet momma, I don't think that's right!

In your present condition, anything stronger than the Carpenters is potentially harmful.

Its a nasty dose, my condolences. Keep warm and drink lots of tea would be my advice. I'm just back after the same, thought mine was brought on by sinusitis. A hefty 12 days off work!
Unfortuntely I had no Led Zeppelin dvd, 1960's speakers nor amplifier.
I had to make do with Dr Phil, Noel Edmunds and a nasal spray that I suspect consisted solely of malt vinegar.

The flu has a long incubation period; it would be hilarious if you got it off the bowler.
Originally posted by royalchickenYou shizznit! I bet it was you, Mel got it that night and she held the bowler too!

Your choice should be based on the possibility that our diseases have a common ancestor, namely that the hat was infected when I bought it, versus the possibility that I was pre-infected and the was hat a mere agent of my mayhem-spreading.

9 days off is a long time for flu, you ever do the
zinc lozenge and vitamin C thing? Its supposed to cut the
sick time in half.
*Sigh* Although, I have yet to fall prey to the flu or anything that remotely qualifies as an illness (Except for the regular rigamerol of allergies... but that's pretty normal....) but however, quite a few of my family members have. I was fortunate to have skipped out on that. However, what's more miserable than being sick from what I find, it's worse when they're a bunch of computer geeks and are insistant on using the computer as much as I do. So the surface of the keyboard had more viruses and bugs on it than Windows ever had and of course, I was the poor sucker that had to clean that up everytime I had to use them. And considering I have 5 computers I have to clean over and over again, this task was really starting to annoy me and of course, brought on said misery. *Sigh* -_-;;; So as miserable as you are, some of the non-sick people sometimes have it a bit worse. And oh yeah... it wasn't limited to computer cleaning too.
